Job Description:

In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner. Housekeeping responsibilities include general housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and following safety procedures. Server responsibilities include greeting residents, serving meals, and cleaning dining areas.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning
Clean and defrost refrigerators, clean and check heat system filters, change bed and linens, ensure adequate linen supplies
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed including carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
Launder all linens
Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures
Greet residents and guests, serve beverages, cereals, and soups/salads
Review menu, take resident orders, serve meals and desserts
Return cart to kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items, deliver trays to resident rooms
Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals and reset for next meal following sanitizing procedures
Complete side work – fill sugar holders, replenish creamers, clean coffeemaker
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned

Requirements:

Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time)
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills
