The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces according to Marriott and Hotel Cleveland standards. This role plays a vital part in providing a positive guest experience through exceptional cleanliness, attention to detail, and professional service.
Job Responsibility:
Clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms
Replace and replenish towels, linens, guest supplies, and amenities
Ensure all assigned areas meet established cleanliness and presentation standards
Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately
Follow proper procedures for the use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and supply areas in a neat and organized manner
Adhere to safety and security procedures to ensure the wellbeing of guests and team members
Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously
Assist in cleaning public areas when necessary
Requirements:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required – training will be provided
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift moderate weights for extended periods
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent guest service
