In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and apartments)
Clean and defrost refrigerators (as needed), clean and check heat system filters, change bed and linens, ensure adequate linen supplies, turn mattress (with assistance), empty waste baskets
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed
Pay special attention to main entry area (carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, light fixtures)
Launder all linens by washing and drying in provided laundry facilities
Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures
Greet residents and guests at each table, serve beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads from cart
Courteously review menu, take resident orders, serve meals and desserts
Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals, reset for next meal following sanitizing procedures
Vacuum carpets
Complete side work (fill sugar holders, replenish creamers, clean coffeemaker, etc.)
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
Requirements:
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time)
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills
