In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
Job Responsibility
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments
Vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed
Clean and check heat system filters
Change bed and linens
Ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment
Turn mattress with assistance as necessary
Empty waste baskets
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed
Pay special attention to main entry area focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
Launder all linens by washing and drying in laundry facilities
Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures
Greet residents and guests at each table with a smile to serve beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads from the cart
Review menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts
Return cart to kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items
Deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals and reset for next meal following proper sanitizing procedures
Vacuum carpets
Complete side work – fill sugar holders, replenish creamers, clean coffeemaker
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
Requirements
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time)
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills
