Job Description

Saint Anselm College has immediate openings for full-time (40 hours per week) custodians/handyman for the Benedictine monastery located on the campus. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibility

  • General cleaning of the monastery
  • Small jobs, such as painting and repairs as required

Requirements

  • High school education desirable
  • General knowledge and skills related to routine housekeeping with commercial/institutional cleaning experience is desirable
  • Related experience in similar workplace setting a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment such as a vacuum cleaner or floor buffer (15-30 lbs.)
  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions, chemical labels and warnings
  • Only male candidates will be considered (due to entry into restricted areas of a Catholic monastery)

Nice to have

  • General knowledge and skills related to routine housekeeping with commercial/institutional cleaning experience
  • Related experience in similar workplace setting
