Job Description

We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Porter to join our team on a casual, flexible basis. You will play an essential role in supporting the housekeeping department by ensuring the smooth operation of room servicing and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the hotel. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive approach to supporting the team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the housekeeping team by delivering supplies, linen, and amenities to guest rooms and service areas
  • Assist with the removal and transportation of used linen, waste, and recycling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, corridors, and back-of-house spaces
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping and guest requests
  • Help prepare rooms for service, including setting up extra beds or amenities when required
  • Ensure all equipment is handled safely and stored correctly
  • Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided
  • Strong work ethic with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
