Job Description

Responsible for maintaining clinical exposure through intervention, coordination of patient care, role modeling and consulting /problem solving. Utilizing the nursing process, ensures compliance with quality standards established by regulatory agencies, Hospital standards of care, performance enhancement programs, and risk management. Builds and sustains collegial relationships, generates commitment, resolves conflicts, and collaborates with others, both individually and teams, to achieve desired outcomes. Performance management techniques are consistently applied leading to positive results and a well developed staff. Provides a caring environment in support of St. Luke's Hospital's mission, vision and values. Facilitates unit/ hospital performance enhancement projects through positive communication and rounding. Coaches and counsels staff and complete counseling documentation as indicated in collaboration with the unit manager.   • Communicates staffing decisions to Nurse Managers of concerned area
  • Analyzes and Manages Bed Huddle process
  • Responds and intervenes in all emergency situations which include House wide Codes, STEMI and Hypothermia Emergency room Patients
  • Coordinates all staff nurse sick calls and communicates information to the manager of concern and the SSP manager
  • Responsible for the notification of Endoscopy and Operating room on call staff after 2300 M-F and Sat and Sun
  • Acts promptly and decisively to address problems that arise throughout the house
