Hourly Paid Lecturer in Business Management

• Teach and/or lead a range of modules in the broad area of Business Management
• Teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Develop teaching & assessment materials, and deliver teaching with a student-centric approach in a variety of learning environments
• Offer academic and pastoral feedback & support to students
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the student experience
• Engage in administrative activities and make a positive contribution to the day-to-day activities of the Academic Discipline and the Campus
• Offer teaching and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study
• Design and develop teaching materials and assessment methods
• Supervise the work of students
• Undertake appropriate administrative tasks, including leading on modules
• Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students
• Be an active and enthusiastic member of the Academic Discipline
• Engage in continuing professional development and enhancement

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
• Experience of working in the UK HE sector
• Experience in teaching, delivery, assessment, and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in subject areas relevant to Business Management with evidence of good student feedback
• Experience in the design and development of module content
• Experience in leading modules
• Experience in supervising postgraduate and/or undergraduate Dissertation students
• Evidence of good organisational and personal management skills
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in teams
• IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources, including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE, or online delivery
• Evidence of the ability to balance competing pressures of teaching, scholarship, research, administrative demands, and deadlines
• Demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity in working practices

PhD/DBA in a relevant discipline
