Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Stores Manager to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Kitchen & Hotel Stores Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our Zone 1 Hotel stores. This hands-on role is responsible for the efficient ordering, receiving, issuing, transferring and control of food, beverage, maintenance and general consumables across the zone. Working closely with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage teams and key stakeholders, you will ensure accurate inventory control, correct cost centre transfers, and strong stock rotation and storage practices to support operational and cost objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily stores operations, including receiving, checking, storing and issuing stock
  • Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and data entry within inventory and finance systems
  • Maintain effective stock rotation (FIFO), temperature controls, and storage standards
  • Coordinate timely deliveries and internal transfers across departments
  • Complete regular and monthly stocktakes, audits, and reports
  • Maintain clean, safe and well-organised stores, loading bay and storage areas
  • Lead, train and supervise the stores team, setting clear priorities and performance expectations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a stores or warehouse management role within a hotel or commercial kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, ordering, invoicing and stocktake processes
  • Experience using inventory or materials control systems
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Hands-on leader with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Understanding of food safety, storage and WHS requirements
  • Must hold a full Australian Drivers License
  • Willingness to perform physical labor and heavy lifting
