Due to department expansion, we have exciting opportunities for Shift Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to join our team on Full Time basis. As a member of our Engineering Hub, you will work across three hotels in Sydney CBD including Hyatt Regency Sydney, Swissôtel Sydney and West Hotel Sydney Curio Collection by Hilton.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out ad hoc repairs in relation to all aspects of the building environment, including particular attention to the upkeep of our rooms, preventative maintenance and guest requests
  • Monitor and inspect the conditions of work spaces and equipment, ensuring to report on any areas where improvements are required
  • Preventative maintenance and operation testing
  • Work in a professional and safe manner in accordance with relevant hotel standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Established experience in similar role – hotel environment strongly preferred
  • Hands on maintenance and repairs experience strongly preferred
  • Personable demeanor with natural ability to interact with guests
  • Dedicated work ethic, with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong multi-modal communication skills – including verbal, reading and written
  • Competency in working both collaboratively and independently
  • Technically minded, with confidence working with computers and systems
  • Creative and adaptive problem-solving skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Full working rights in Australia with availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends

  • Complete furniture, tile, shade, décor, and device installations and repairs
  • Conduct periodic inspection and audits to confirm compliance with operations and maintenance programs including service call programs, preventative maintenance, loss control prevention activities, safety programs, hazardous materials, OSHA compliance, water treatment and record keeping
  • Develop scope and bid engineering related services or CAPEX projects
