Job Description:

Hotel Services Lead at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, part of Circle Health Group. The role is to join the team of staff in the Hotel Services department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and support the Portering and Housekeeping teams to ensure timely and professional delivery of services across all areas of the hospital
  • Oversee core portering duties, including patient and goods movement, site security, and gas management, where applicable
  • Ensure all housekeeping services, including room and theatre cleaning, laundry handling, and room setup, meet policy and infection prevention standards
  • Carry out cleaning audits and ensure corrective actions are followed through effectively
  • Act as a key point of contact for patients, visitors, and consultants, managing feedback on hospitality services and ensuring satisfaction
  • Ensure staff compliance with all mandatory training and that service delivery adheres to hospital policies and health & safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing operational teams within hospitality or healthcare environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A basic understanding of MS Excel and administrative processes
  • A hospitality or facilities services qualification (desirable)
  • An understanding of cleanliness and infection control standards in a clinical or hotel setting
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
