Job Description:

Hotel Manager position at Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane, providing leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operation of the hotel, including achievement of stated operational goals and profitability objectives. Participate in total hotel management as a member of the hotel Executive Committee. Build, maintain and strengthen business relationships with establishment owners and represent the establishment and Marriott International at local, national and international forums.

Job Responsibility:

  • Align plans with business strategy
  • understand short- and long-term impact of business decisions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and educate others about how one's work aligns with the overall business/brand strategy
  • Collect and analyse data to make customer focused business decisions
  • ensure associates understand and exceed customer expectations
  • Understand the meaning and implications of key internal and external financial indicators
  • manage overall financial performance
  • use sound financial analysis to evaluate strategic and investment options
  • Add value through revenue growth and operational efficiency through process improvement
  • understand and focus on the key drivers of sales, associate and customer satisfaction, profitability, and quality
  • Monitor achievement of departmental goals and objectives
  • Monitor the efficient and effective utilisation of the departmental resources
  • Provide direction on Sales and Marketing strategies, tourism issues and economic/political/social issues
  • Oversee the preparation and management of Hotel and departmental budgets
  • Analyse department financial performance reports
  • Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain/upgrade quality standards and property image, and to protect assets from neglect, damage or deterioration

Requirements:

  • Experience with OPERA property management system or similar
  • Relevant experience in a similar managerial role
  • Working rights in Australia
