Located in the heart of historic Ghent, Ghent Marriott Hotel combines international luxury with authentic local charm. With 150 stylish rooms, versatile meeting spaces and the award-winning Midtown Grill restaurant, the hotel welcomes guests from all over the world every day. To strengthen our Engineering team, we are looking for a full-time Hotel Maintenance Technician. In this role, you help ensure that our hotel facilities, electrical installations and guest areas remain in excellent condition, contributing directly to a smooth and high-quality guest experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing daily technical inspections throughout the hotel
  • Carrying out minor repairs to rooms, public areas, furniture and installations
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to electricity, plumbing and sanitary systems
  • Assisting with preventive maintenance of technical equipment and installations
  • Coordinating with external suppliers or contractors when necessary
  • Supporting safe working procedures and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Maintaining basic technical administration and reporting
  • Contributing to an efficient and well-maintained hotel environment

Requirements

  • You have a good knowledge of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of sanitary/plumbing systems is an important asset
  • Experience in technical maintenance, facility services or a similar role is a plus
  • You work independently and have a proactive mindset
  • You are flexible and comfortable working in a hotel environment
  • You communicate professionally and work well with colleagues and external partners
  • You have a good command of Dutch and/or English
  • You are willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and an on-call rotation
