Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of the hotel’s physical facilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC system maintenance
  • Address guest room issues and respond to maintenance requests
  • Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces paster, plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim
  • Cut and lay flooring
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems
  • Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests
  • Follow work order procedures
  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort preferred
  • Knowledge of 'household' repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) a must
  • Strong attention to detail and an engaging and welcoming personality a plus
  • Availability to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
