Job Description

As a Hotel Maintenance/ Mechanic II, you perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment  and to ensure a safe and functional environment for the Hotel  guests!

Job Responsibility

  • Handle the general maintenance and repairs in the entire hotel including guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, kitchens, hotel perimeters & heart of house
  • Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment
  • as well as HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing where possible
  • Be responsible for, and be proactive in, reporting deficiencies and areas needing repair according to hotel reporting procedures
  • Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment and take immediate corrective action where possible
  • Assist guests regarding property facilities whenever possible

Requirements

  • HVAC certification a plus
  • Strong technical skills encouraged
  • Knowledge in areas like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Passion for delivering personalized customer service and a strong commitment to creating the desired guest experience for all
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills
  • An ability to work under pressure while maintaining a sense of poise and professionalism
  • A positive, can-do, team player attitude
  • A strong desire to support and assist your department and other hotel colleagues, and help them navigate and overcome roadblocks and obstacles
  • A desire to learn and grow and a fast paced, chic, exciting environment
