Hotel Maintenance Engineer

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and HVAC systems
• Ensure proper operation of all hotel equipment, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, plumbing, pool equipment and HVACs
• Installing, repair and maintaining all types of wiring (electrical, data, communication, etc.), and lighting/intercom systems
• Perform diagnostics on electrical components and/or controls of machinery or other commercial equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to a variety of trades, including electrical systems, appliances, and HVAC systems
• Respond with a sense of urgency to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and provide room status updates to minimize disruptions to hotel operations
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations, following lock-out/tag out and other safety measures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and guests
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management

• Ability to effectively speak, hear, read, and comprehend instructions, both written and oral, in the English language
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to effectively handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as they arise
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
• Able to adapt to unexpected changes, making quick and effective decisions regarding maintenance and repairs in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
• Moves materials and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. regularly
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of Working in dirty, dusty, or uncomfortable surroundings, including being exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and hazardous materials depending on the tasks performed
• Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift
• Ability to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery
• including working from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
• to manipulate heavy equipment, tools and supplies and reach in all directions, often overhead
• Move through various areas of the hotel, including mechanical rooms, guest rooms, public areas, and outside areas, with frequent and repeated climbing up and down stairs, throughout duration of shift
• Capable of frequent and repeated lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and extending arms fully
• Able to strictly observe and adhere to all safety regulations and standards, and that they are being followed throughout the hotel
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience in general facility or building maintenance, preferably in a large hotel or hospitality setting
• Experience in all maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting
• Experience and safety knowledge using basic hand and power tools
