The Engineer Guest Calls is a customer facing position in the Engineering Department that focuses on handling guest calls during their stay at the resort. This individual responds immediately to requests for items related to heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and other conditions which can impact customer satisfaction. There will be customer interaction so this person must have the communication skills to interact with customers and handle their needs and requests.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate with Director of Engineering regarding all aspects of engineering operations
Maintain work areas clean and organized
Monitor and control, parts and labor expenditures
Prioritize all work requests ensuring handling of guest problems, staff problems and inner hotel challenges
Report and resolve all unsafe conditions immediately
Complete other duties assigned by supervisor
Attend all mandatory meetings
Requirements:
High School diploma
Technical & Mechanical certifications are preferred
Read, write, speak and understand English fluently
Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing in guestrooms
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction
Computer proficiency to be able to use software designed for work orders and the preventive maintenance system
