Job Description

Part of Marriott International, Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan is currently recruiting a Housekeeping Supervisor. Reporting to Director of Housekeeping, the role will cover Housekeeping tasks. This is full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off. The starting date is estimated in April

Job Responsibility

  • Co-ordinate housekeeping activity, planning and distributing room-cleaning assignments with the outsourcing company
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas after they’ve been cleaned, to ensure the highest standards are being met
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues and missing or damaged property liaising with Engineering and Security
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities, especially laundry activities
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Director of Housekeeping
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company guidelines

Requirements

  • A warm, people-oriented demeanor and a team-first attitude
  • Positive outlook and outgoing personality
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Great storytelling skills in English and at least intermediate Italian (both writing and speaking)
  • Previous Housekeeping supervisory experience is a big plus
  • Ideally, technical knowledge of Opera
