Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a dedicated, reliable and customer-oriented Part Time Hotel Accommodation Porter to join our Accommodation team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction across the hotel. The successful candidate will maximise guest satisfaction by providing neat and clean rooms, corridors, and public areas, in accordance with the standards of this hotel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the smooth and professional cleaning and servicing of the accommodation & public areas facilities by presenting a clean, fresh and friendly environment to the agreed standard of the Hotel ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
  • Manage and distribute clean linen throughout the hotel by stocking and re-stocking the Accommodation trolleys with linen during the day
  • Support housekeeping team with room supplies, stock taking & stock control
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public areas such as the lobby, corridors, and elevators
  • Assist with cleaning of public areas and back-of-house spaces as required
  • Remove and handle laundry, waste, and room service items safely
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
  • Assist guests and colleagues with inquiries and requests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Collaborate with other hotel teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Work in a safe manner in regard to handling and moving, and utilises equipment, chemicals and protective devices as instructed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
