Job Description

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record.

Job Responsibility

  • Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
  • Forklift training, certification, and operation
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle
  • Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Makes sure that all out bound equipment is loaded in a safe, secure and in a timely manner for delivery to end user while meeting/exceeding customer specific requirements
  • Monitors Hot Shot drivers to ensure adherence to CACTUS safety standards/maintaining driver logs
  • NORMs all in-bound Rental and Customer property valves
