Job Description:

Plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience for guests. They are the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for greeting, seating, and assisting patrons throughout their visit. The hostess creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, manages table reservations, and supports the restaurant team in providing exceptional service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greeting and seating guests
  • Manage the seating process efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain the waitlist
  • Handle telephone inquiries and table reservations
  • Maintain an organized reservation book
  • Ensure reserved tables are prepared
  • Provide information about the restaurant's offerings, menu, and promotions
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management
  • Inform servers about special guest requests
  • Collaborate to maintain efficient table turnover
  • Keep the entrance and reception area tidy
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas
  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating special events
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Comply with the resort's policies, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, friendly, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and menu items
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is an advantage
