Job Description:

As the Hostess of Terrazza Danieli, you are the first and last impression of the dining experience. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for greeting guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, setting the tone for an elegant and seamless service journey. You will coordinate reservations, manage guest flow, escort guests to their tables, and ensure communication between dining room, kitchen, and service teams is smooth and efficient. You are the guardian of the restaurant atmosphere: poised, polished, and attentive, ensuring every guest feels recognized, valued, and cared for.

Job Responsibility:

  • Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and natural elegance
  • Manage the host stand, review the reservation book, coordinate seating assignments
  • Answer telephone calls professionally, handle reservations, provide restaurant and hotel information
  • Escort guests to their tables promptly and based on preferences
  • Ensure cleanliness and order of the entrance, host stand, and all dining room sections
  • Develop full working knowledge of the restaurant menu, dishes, ingredients, and concept
  • Recognize and acknowledge regular guests, anticipate needs, and personalize interactions
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including updating reservation logs and coordinating guest notes
  • Uphold Four Seasons service standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage outlet
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Outstanding communication, personal presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and F&B systems
  • High attention to detail, diplomatic communication, and a polished, professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Legal right to work in Italy

Implements patient safety initiative and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, consult notifications.
  • Evaluation: Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals following interventions. Notifies physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjusts nursing care to meet patient's emerging and changing needs.
  • Report Skills: Gives and receives report using Bedside Shift Report including family participation. Provides an accurate and comprehensive report to the oncoming shift to help establish continuity of patient care. Receives report from off-going shift and delegates tasks as needed to provide continuity of care according to coworker's experience, abilities and the patient's acuity.
  • Environment & Patient Safety: Maintains patient and work environment to maximize safe working space. Promptly removes all used and soiled equipment, linen, etc. to appropriate location. Incorporates national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety and satisfaction. Reports all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.
