Join the ilili Midtown Opening Team! We are seeking a warm, welcoming, and highly organized Host to join our opening team at our Midtown location. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, this role is essential to setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. As a Host, you’ll greet guests with genuine hospitality, manage reservations and waitlists, and coordinate the flow of the dining room to ensure smooth service. Your professionalism, poise, and attention to detail will help create a positive and polished first impression. The ideal candidate is friendly, composed under pressure, and passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly and confidently, and are excited to help launch something special from the ground up.
Job Responsibility:
Acknowledge and greet all guests (using names, when known) with an authentic, courteous Corsair greeting
Represent the ILILI brand and uphold fine-dining standards of behavior and etiquette
Assist the Restaurant Manager in supervising floor operations
Promptly and accurately create, handle, and change restaurant reservations, using the guest name
Escort all guests to their table, using the guest name
Comply promptly with all special requests of management
Report any problems or issues to the manager on duty in a timely manner
Communicate pleasantly and courteously with guest, management and co-workers
Remain observant and respond to each guest at all times
Know the layout of restaurant/hotel and location of all equipment and supplies
Know all restaurants table/seat numbers
Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment
Implement standards/procedures of service for guests consistently and impeccably as per Sequence of Service
Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance, sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant
Perform all assigned sidework regularly, promptly, and correctly
Comply fully and consistently with all hotel and restaurant conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, personal hygiene and safety
Understand and utilize escalation procedures for guest complaints and other potentially negative situations
Attend and report on time for all meetings and training sessions scheduled by management
Other duties as required by the Management team for the successful operation of the restaurant
Requirements:
One year of dining room experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant
Strong beverage knowledge and beverage preferred but not required
Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality
