Our fine dining Italian restaurant is seeking experienced hospitality professionals to join our team as Host. Applicants should have an outgoing personality, a passion for food and strong experience providing great service. Join our team today in Boca Raton! JOB OVERVIEW: Hosts are responsible for creating the first impression for the guest. These individuals have the ability to influence the guests overall restaurant experience. Hosts may be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction. Hosts must possess a friendly, informative and helpful manner. They must be prepared to answer all guest questions with accuracy

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies/service procedures/standards
  • Arrive to work on time, as scheduled, with all necessary equipment, supplies and properly attired (or Uniformed) to begin work according to company standards
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Confirm all reservations
  • Answer phone and take reservations
  • Enter all reservations into Open Table Reservation System
  • Greet guests in a warm welcoming manner
  • Assist Maitre D seat guests
  • Keep podium area organized and clean
  • Ensure matches, mints and business cards are properly displayed
  • Knowledge of private dining information
  • Check on rest rooms frequently to ensure that they are always spotless and free of liter, as well as fully stocked, reporting any problems or poor conditions to the proper person
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgments
  • Maintain knowledge of: table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the Restaurant

Requirements:

  • Command of the English language
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • 1 years experience in a high end restaurant
  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers
  • Ability to understand and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous
  • Must be able to stay on feet for up to 8 hours throughout work shift
  • Must be able to bend and stoop to the floor
