Job Description:

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire visit. This part-time, permanent position is crucial to ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Your role will contribute directly to the positive reputation and continued success of East Coast Concepts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise flow and minimise wait times
  • Maintain an organised and tidy reception and waiting area
  • Assist with answering phone calls, taking bookings, and responding to guest enquiries
  • Coordinate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and escalate issues where necessary
  • Support the team during busy periods by assisting with general front-of-house duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within catering, hospitality or similar industries is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in busy or challenging situations
  • Basic IT skills to manage bookings and reservations systems
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
