Job Description:

Host or Hostess position at VEA Newport Beach A Marriott Resort & Spa. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, maintaining dining room cleanliness, ensuring proper table settings, and providing excellent guest service according to Marriott standards.

Job Responsibility:

Greet guests and determine the number in their party
Seat guests by finding clean, available tables
Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings
Ensure place settings are appropriate with napkins and clean silverware
Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, and wrinkle-free
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, and safety

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
