Job Description:

As a Host or Hostess at VEA Newport Beach A Marriott Resort & Spa, you will welcome guests and ensure they have a positive dining experience by seating them efficiently, maintaining cleanliness, and monitoring guest satisfaction. This part-time role offers opportunities to join a vibrant team in a luxury environment.

Job Responsibility:

Greet guests and determine the number in their party
seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, placing menu in front of guest, etc.
guide guests through the dining room and provide assistance
monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
maintain cleanliness of work areas
ensure place settings are appropriate and menus are clean and current
move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings as needed
follow safety and security policies and procedures
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a manager
maintain professionalism and confidentiality
develop positive working relationships with colleagues

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds
ability to communicate professionally and clearly
no related work experience required
adherence to company policies and safety procedures
