Job Responsibility:
Greets and seats guests
Verifies identification for age-appropriate entry
Enters guest count into seating program and pages servers
Responds to guest requests and questions
Provides menu and promotional information
Maintains clean and sanitary dining areas by clearing and resetting tables
Stocks workstations with necessary supplies like silverware and napkins
Performs accounting transactions including cash handling and balancing cash drawers
Enforces responsible alcohol service policies in designated venues
Monitors alcohol consumption and stops service as required
Clears alcohol containers and maintains venue cleanliness
Communicates effectively with guests and team members
Assists with guest seating program operations
Requirements:
County of San Diego Food Handler Card
High school diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D. preferred
Guest or hospitality service experience preferred
Restaurant server experience preferred
Casino experience preferred
Six months cash handling experience preferred
Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to accept constructive criticism
Ability to count U.S. currency and make change
Ability to recognize counterfeit monies
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
