Job Description:

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a highly engaged Hostess to join our Pelagos Restaurant team for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). You will provide a seamless and elegant guest welcome, ensuring a memorable dining experience that reflects the restaurant’s Michelin-star standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set up the host/hostess stand, review reservation book, and recommend room setup
  • Inspect dining areas and tables prior to opening
  • Develop complete working knowledge of menus, menu ingredients, and daily unavailable items
  • Assign seating according to guest preferences and service standards
  • Maintain station chart and cover count using the Open Table system
  • Handle guests without reservations and lost & found items
  • Answer telephones and take reservations according to Four Seasons standards
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond to inquiries, and ensure satisfaction
  • Collaborate with culinary, stewarding, and housekeeping teams
  • Assist with food & beverage service across all meal periods, events, and in-room dining
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures are followed
  • Complete other duties or projects as assigned by Outlet Manager or Director of F&B

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece
  • Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume service is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English
  • proficiency in Greek is an advantage
  • Food handling and sanitation certification is a plus
