Job Description

Provides friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and quality of work environment as directed by Manager on Duty.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides friendly and efficient service to guests
  • Controls the flow of business in the dining room
  • Check out Guests at the register
  • Provides genuine hospitality
  • Opens the door as guests enter and leave
  • Uses greeting, seating and waiting list procedures
  • Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns
  • Completes wait sheets
  • Greet and Seat Guests
  • Take Cash
  • Move through the dining room regularly
  • Sell Bakery
  • Ensure cashier area, bakery cases, lobby, entryway, restrooms and dining room stay clean
  • Ensures menus are clean
  • Processes To-Go orders
  • Maintains guests’ needs by assisting servers with pre bussing
  • Sweeps floor around tables
  • Performs side work during shift downtime
  • Provides assistance to all servers and bus persons
  • Ensures 100% guest satisfaction
  • Communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding problems
  • Keeps General Manager and Manager on Duty informed of problems

Requirements

  • Reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform
  • Practices good personal hygiene
  • Must be able to see at a distance (20) feet, at close range (12 inches), distinguish between shapes and utilize peripheral vision
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Must have high level of mobility/flexibility
  • Must have time management skills
  • Must be able to read, write and perform addition/subtraction calculations
  • Must be able to control and utilize fingers to write, slice chop and operate equipment
  • Must be able to fit through openings 30” wide
  • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available for part-time work on evenings and weekends
  • Must be available on holidays
  • Must submit verification of legal right to work in the United States
