This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry and explore various facets of Club Operations. The intern will develop a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations that contribute to a positive guest and member experience.
Job Responsibility:
Work in high volume situations
Attend all required staff meetings, intern classes, and assigned rotations
Deliver final case study presentation to management team
Work with team members to ensure cleanliness, quality, and efficiency across all areas
Participate in on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities
Maintain safety and health policy
Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager
Promote and adhere to standards set by Seabrook Island Club
Lead by example and promote Seabrook Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Constitution and Decision Making
Gain comprehensive knowledge of Seabrook Island Club’s amenities
Develop customer service, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Support daily operations by assisting members and guest with their NorthStar access
Work closely with membership to make sure the check in process is seamless
Working closely with the membership department to satisfy guest and member needs
Understanding of day-to-day operations of a Country Club
Develop skills in guest services by administering NorthStar access
Building rapport with guests and members as being their first point of contact
Learn hours of operations for all amenities on the island
Answer questions about different events as well as the amenities
Check website regularly and collaborate with the Communications team if something is wrong
Work with a variety of rental companies
Shadow both the Director and Managers with any other additional tasks
Attend a variety of different classes throughout the 12 weeks
Complete a final project and present to a group of managers
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a hospitality program at an accredited college/university
Some customer service experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work with others required
Approachable and positive personality
Proven leadership ability
Customer service skills
Professional image
Strong work ethic and willing to be part of a team required
Owning the learning experience by being proactive and taking initiative
