Support students and staff in the training restaurants and kitchens in the College. Maintain the kitchen environment to a high level of cleanliness and support safe working practices. Maintain food safety records, assist with ordering kitchen stock and keeping all areas hygienic and safe.
Job Responsibility:
Support Lecturers and students in a practical hospitality environment
Ensure the cleanliness, quality standards and safety of the work area
Ensure the teaching environment is prepared and maintained to meet HSAW and hygiene requirements
Collaborate with Lecturers and Assessors and technical staff
Supervise students in the control of food, beverages, resources, linen, cleaning materials and equipment
Assist with the purchase of new small equipment
Direct and guide students in a Realistic Working Environment, specifically in the still room and wash up areas, bar and reception
Requirements:
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
Previous hospitality experience
Knowledge in food safety standards
Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
