Job Description

Hospitality Assistant - Zero Hours role at Kents Hill, Milton Keynes, part of The Venues Collection/Levy UK & Ireland. The role involves providing guest service, food & beverage service, and events & conference support in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests, delegates, and visitors
  • Assist guests with enquiries and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service
  • Assist with the setup, service, and clear-down of conference rooms, restaurants, bars, and event spaces
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and hygienic manner
  • Support buffet, banqueting, and refreshment services for conferences and events
  • Ensure service areas are clean, well-stocked, and presented to a high standard
  • Set up rooms according to event requirements (layouts, equipment, refreshments)
  • Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Respond to last-minute changes or guest requests efficiently
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow company procedures
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents to management promptly
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
  • Be flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Support other areas of the business when needed

Requirements

  • Positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures
  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, events, or customer service (desirable)
  • Food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain (desirable)
  • Experience working in a conference or large venue environment (desirable)
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Well-presented with attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
