Job Description:

Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen; Part of the University of Maryland Medical System; University hospital with excellent specialty support; Average 15 patients/day; Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes; Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs; EMR: EPIC; Beds 257; Trauma Level – Level II

Job Responsibility:

Rounds, admissions, discharges, and daily multidisciplinary rounds, geographic rounds, participant in rapid response and code team
Swing shift rotation covers admissions and new consults during the day

Requirements:

Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards
Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
BE/BC in Internal or Family Medicine
Strong inpatient skill set
Quality-focused team player
Experience working with advanced practice providers
Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Effective oral and written communication skills
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, ACLS
