Adfinitas Health has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level advanced practice provider to join our Hospitalist team at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Adfinitas Health offers an intense months-long Onboarding program designed to train Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to autonomously provide high quality patient care in the hospital setting as part of the hospitalist team. Clinical training consists of three phases – Hospital/Patient Orientation, Closely Supervised Patient Care, and Supervised Patient Care. An onboarder will be paired with a designated Clinical Trainer for on the job training, as well as attending biweekly didactic training sessions. At the end of the training program, a successful candidate will join the hospitalist group as an autonomous member of the team for a minimum commitment of two years.
Job Responsibility:
Provide inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting
Admit patients
Perform physical exams
Order tests
Diagnose
Perform hospital rounds
Plan for discharge
Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards
Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration
Strong inpatient skill set
Quality-focused team player
Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Effective oral and written communication skills
