Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
Minimum of 18 months acute experience in hospitalist or similar position as an advanced practice provider
Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration
Strong inpatient skill set
Quality-focused team player
Experience working with advanced practice providers

Job Responsibility

Providing inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge
Following all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
Contributing to the achievement of department goals and adhering to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards
Submitting accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

Rotate throughout Greater Charlotte Hospital Medicine teams covering vacancies and high census
Rotating schedules based on vacancy with a focus on prioritizing 7 on 7 off schedule
Holidays, weekends and extended hours are required (nights are not required)
Shifts may include cross cover responsibilities
Teaching opportunities with APP students and ACPP fellows
