Job Responsibility

Lead and exercise delegated administrative authority for supervising hospital personnel and functions, including patient care, in the Administrator's or Department Director's absence
Act as the leader and resource, facilitating efficient operations and serving as an administrative representative knowledgeable about hospital policies
Have authority, after consultation, to suspend employees affecting patient care
Serve as a leader and key resource in facilitating efficient and safe operational activities throughout facility
Serve as an administrative representative and resource to staff, including hospital policy/procedures and/or provides assistance with problem solving
Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with internal policies and procedures
Responsible for problem resolution and/or coordination by following the appropriate chain of command
Identify and address departmental and/or personnel issues
