This is an overnight position, 7 days on/7 days off, 10 hour shifts. Night and weekend shift differential pay!!! As a Pharmacy Tech, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, distribute and deliver medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations
Perform clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department
Maintain proper medication and supply stock levels
Operate and maintain automated medication delivery systems and devices
Participate in department quality assurance programs and maintain appropriate quality assurance documentation
Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable
Requirements:
Nebraska Pharmacy Tech License/Registration
Pharmacy Tech Certification within 1 years' time of NE Tech/License Activation Date
