Job Description

CarePoint is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support our thriving hospital medicine program in Wichita, KS. Primary location will be Wesley Hillside, with some coverage at Wesley Woodlawn. Wesley Hillside is a complex regional referral hospital and an ACS Level I Trauma Center with multiple residency programs and comprehensive specialty services.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a critical liaison between physicians, patient care team, and dispensing pharmacies
  • coordinate and schedule patient follow-up appointments
  • provide administrative support including prior authorizations, discharge prescription processing, and death certificate completion
  • aid physicians in preparing official patient documents such as FMLA, short-term disability, and return-to-work forms
  • track, organize, and maintain records of new patient encounters
  • apply clinical judgment and nursing process to advance patient health, well-being, and safety in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act
