Job Description:

A Southern California Hospital is in the immediate need of a Hospital Medical Collections Specialist with commercial insurance experience. The Hospital Medical Collections Specialist will be tasked with follow up with commercial payor via phone and web portals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Insurance follow up via phone and web portals
  • Sending appeal letters for denied insurance claims
  • Reviewing EOB's Microsoft and capitated claims
  • Insurance correspondence

Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of Acute Medical Collections experience
  • MUST have Hospital Acute experience and UB04
  • commercial insurance experience
  • Managed Care, HMO and PPO knowledge
