Job Description

Part time, fixed-term role working 4 hours per week from 8 June 2026 until 31 December 2026. Make a meaningful impact supporting patients, their families and carers. Job Responsibility

  • Friday HITH-VC consultant of the day including 0900 huddle via Microsoft Teams, supervision of junior medical staff and providing comprehensive management and multidisciplinary care to patients under HITH-VC
  • Weekend and public holiday (remote) work in approximately a 1:4 roster including attendance at a daily 0905 huddle via Microsoft Teams and available for calls / messages from junior medical staff and case managers (nursing)
  • Educational support and supervision of junior medical staff rotated to HITH-VC
  • Assist with the development and delivery of new care pathways, research and audit activities within the unit

Requirements

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in an adult medicine specialty
  • Hold certification of FRACP continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Hold AHPRA specialist registration
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care
