Colour Codes for Hospital – Trainer Job Description. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Hospital Colour Code Trainer to design and deliver structured training programs on hospital emergency colour code systems. The trainer will be responsible for educating healthcare staff on emergency identification, response protocols, communication flow, and compliance with hospital safety standards. The objective of this training is to ensure hospital personnel can respond promptly, accurately, and confidently during emergencies while maintaining patient safety and operational continuity.
Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver comprehensive training on hospital emergency colour codes (e.g., Code Blue, Code Red, Code Yellow, Code Pink, etc.)
Educate participants on emergency activation protocols and internal communication systems
Conduct scenario-based training and mock drills aligned with hospital policies
Train nursing, clinical, non-clinical, and administrative staff on emergency response coordination
Ensure alignment with NABH/JCI or other applicable healthcare accreditation standards
Assess participants through pre- and post-training evaluations
Prepare training materials including presentations, SOP references, and drill reports
Support hospitals in reviewing and strengthening their emergency response framework
Deliver Customized hospital-specific colour code training module
Deliver Mock drill execution plan and report
Deliver Attendance & competency assessment report
Deliver Post-training feedback summary
Requirements:
Proven experience in delivering hospital-based emergency or safety training programs
Strong understanding of hospital colour code systems (Code Blue, Code Red, Code Yellow, Code Pink, etc.) and related response protocols
Practical experience conducting hospital mock drills and emergency simulations
Knowledge of NABH, JCI, or other healthcare accreditation standards related to emergency preparedness
Ability to train multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, housekeeping, and administrative personnel
Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospital safety training, nursing supervision, emergency management, or healthcare administration
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or Fire & Safety
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Certification in Hospital Safety, Infection Control, or Disaster Management is an added advantage
