JourneyCare Hospice is seeking a Hospice Weekend Admission RN for Every Other Friday and Saturday! New competitive salaries, immediate opening available!

Job Responsibility

  • Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services
  • Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services
  • Obtains informed consent
  • Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
  • Must possess current CPR Certification
  • 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
