This position will be responsible for assisting in developing and directing internal compliance and staff development/training programs to ensure the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) program is in compliance with Company policy and procedure and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Conducts concurrent and retrospective record review to ensure timely completion, compliance, and accurate hospice data set documentation
Consultation, education, and collaboration with clinicians, operations, and other team members to clarify documentation issues, provide feedback, and follow correction guidelines for hospice data sets
Utilizes reports and other resources to ensure congruency between hospice data set responses
Completes/coordinates all activities to submit, correct, and record Hospice data sets to meet CMS deadlines and reporting requirements
Assists with oversight of the quality program, which includes tracking, reviewing, and providing corrective action plans and follow-up for all required HQRP activities
Provides written audit reports/updates to Senior Quality Manager/Designee as required
Assists in developing educational materials
Oversite of assigned staff
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
Follows all policies, Company procedures and policies, local, state and federal and accreditation regulations
Performs other duties as assigned
Maintain positive internal and external customer service relationships
Maintains open lines of communication
Plans and organizes work effectively and ensures its completion
Meets all productivity requirements

Requirements:
Degree in Nursing, or a related field of study, preferred bachelor’s degree
5-7 years of experience in health care
Audit experience is required
Some experience in a fast-paced, results-driven, organization
Must possess strong communication, written, interpersonal, and advanced computer skills
Ability to travel
Must be self-confident, thorough, and prompt in completing assignments and projects
Passionate, energetic, tenacious and resolute, with a high sense of urgency and a strong drive to produce results
