Job Description:

Bring your talent & passion for gardening to Merivale's growing portfolio of venues across Sydney & surrounds. As our Horticulture Team Leader, you will be safeguarding the brand's aesthetic vision. Reporting to the Group Horticulture Manager, you will be working alongside and providing guidance to the team to ensure each venue expresses its unique character while maintaining a consistent standard of excellence. You will be competent when working autonomously and confident leading and supporting a small team ranging from 1-4 people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work alongside, motivate and support team to deliver exceptional results
  • Time management to ensure the completion of maintenance schedules within time restraints
  • Complete horticultural programs, including fertilisation, pest control, and pruning schedules
  • Support in completion of new venue installs and garden renovations

Requirements:

  • Experienced with indoor plants
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities under time restrictions
  • Strong communicator
  • Hands-on and leads by example
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience maintaining irrigation systems
  • Relevant industry qualifications and/or licences
  • Current driver’s licence (essential)

Nice to have:

Experience in leading a small team and/or mentoring apprentices in horticulture
