We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Horticultural Manager to join the team in our Weaver Vale Garden Centre. This is a Full time position with regular weekend working so flexibility is a must. Competitive Salary based on experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the outdoor plant area
  • Managing department to achieve sales and profit targets whilst motivating team
  • Planning & supervising staff resources for daily running of the department
  • Ensuring all stock is clearly and accurately priced and always looking fresh
  • Plant stock replenishment and merchandising to create fabulous plant displays with clear and accurate POS
  • Develop the team to look after and care for our plants
  • Manager regular cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
  • Taking on wider responsibilities for managing the Garden Centre as a Duty Manager

Requirements:

  • Qualified horticulturalist with retail management experience
  • Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for retail and customer service
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about plants and plant related products
  • Successful retail manager who can coach and develop their team
  • Strong communicator who can motivate their team to deliver with enthusiasm and great personality
  • Be commercially aware to achieve sales and profit targets
