Austin Health offers an 8-month International Medical Graduate (IMG) Education and Training Program to facilitate orientation into the Australian Healthcare System. The program includes a 10-week Supervised Observership placement rotating through different units within the hospital, along with access to education and learning opportunities.
Job Responsibility:
Rotate through different units within the hospital during 10-week Observership
Attend compulsory orientation week and BLS assessment
Enroll into and complete PMCV ‘Hit the Ground Running’ Program during Orientation week
Participate in any emergency incident response activities as directed
Not reveal confidential information relating to patients, employees, policies, processes and dealings
Be accountable for professional conduct and performance
Requirements:
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Resident
Passed Australian Medical Council MCQ Examination Part 1
IELTS Test Pass (Average of 7 or above overall) or OET Pass (B or above in each category) that is less than 2 years old
Primary Medical Degree completed less than 10 years ago
Nice to have:
Passed AMC Clinical Examination Part 2
Completed a minimum of 12 weeks of full-time equivalent work over the last 3 years
Previously practiced Medicine for more than 2 years
