Homemaker

• Work cooperatively with family member, agency supervisor and other individuals involved with client
• Follow instructions and be conscientious
• Inform Supervisor of unusual incidents or significant changes in client's condition
• Assistance with shopping, menu planning, laundry and light housekeeping
• Abide by all Infection Control policies
• Perform light household management and cleaning
• Store loose articles
• Sweeping
• Changing bed linens
• Wet mop floors
• Store equipment properly
• Store food properly
• Wash tile and fixtures with disinfectant
• Laundry (wash, iron & mend)
• Clean sink, shower tub & toilet weekly
• Perform normal household services essential to health care at home
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment
• Record activities performed on activity sheet
• Attend and complete in-service education programs
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Successful completion of an approved 40-hour HM training program
• Current certificate upon hire
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• Maturity, flexibility and ability to plan and organize activities
• Current TB test upon hire and yearly
• Completed 37 hours of training related to HM responsibilities
• Current, valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto/vehicle insurance
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Competent in the skills necessary to perform the job functions

Current CPR Certification preferred
