Job Responsibility
Provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting them in accessing accommodation, healthcare, and other essential services
Conduct needs assessments and develop personalised support plans tailored to each client's circumstances
Offer emotional support and guidance to help clients build confidence and independence
Assist clients in developing life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and maintaining personal hygiene
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including healthcare providers, housing services, and social services, to coordinate support efforts
Maintain accurate and confidential case records in accordance with organisational policies and data protection regulations
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery
Promote a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike
Requirements
Previous experience working in a social care, housing, or support environment, preferably with vulnerable populations
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately
Empathy, patience, and resilience to support clients through challenging circumstances
Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting
Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential
