Job Responsibility

Performs delivery, setup, education and sizing of equipment to patients in various hospitals, physicians offices, home office or patients home
Obtains, secures, and transfers all pertinent documentation prior to delivery of equipment
Performs preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
Maintains off site inventories
Orders, stocks and logs equipment from vendors and suppliers
Performs cleaning and testing of returned equipment per policy

The R.T. must have met the federal mammography training requirements as specified in the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992(MQSA)

Reviews patient mammography medical history and correlates prior mammograms to ensure the correct examination is being performed

Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a radiologist if needed

Performs troubleshooting and minor repair procedures under the direction of clinical engineering
